12MM, Blue Agate Round Beads

Day 30. I peeled off the radiation table light headed. I was exhausted. After changing out of my blue garment I made my way down what seemed a long hall way to the call room. My aunt was waiting for me there. "I just need to rest for a second, ok?" I said. I plopped down in a chair and closed my eyes. When I opened them there was a young lady sitting next to me. She inquired how I was feeling. I responded, "I frustrated and tired! I have nine more days of this poison and I...I just don't know if I can do this. I mean I'm sore and these sharp pains in my breast are happening more frequently like someone is constantly stabbing me with a knife. And the crazy part is that it's not that I can't do it, I don't want to do it, anymore!" The next day when I came to radiation Lisa was there waiting clinching a blue smurf stuffed animal. We embraced as usual then she smiled and said, "Your skies might be grey today, but tomorrow they will be blue again. This is for you to bring you strength when you feel defeated and courage in the mist of the storm knowing that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Erika you will get through this you just have to believe in yourself and know that the life you are trying to preserve...your life, is worth fighting for!." This past march I got a call form Lisa telling me that her mom's cancer returned and she died. Butterflies instantly swarmed my stomach as sadness hovered over me, I got out of my car to take a breathe and when I looked up I saw blue skies!
